The Mo/Dega Traditional Area is buzzing with excitement as the Chiefs and the entire community gear up for their annual Pedia/Yam Festival and Homecoming 2024. This year’s festival promises to be extraordinary as it brings together the people of Mo/Dega in a grand celebration under the theme *"Uniting for Development in Mo/Dega: Everyone's Responsibility."* This event underscores the importance of unity and collaboration in fostering development within the traditional area.
At the heart of this celebration is the esteemed Omanhene, Nana Kwaku Dankwa III, the Overlord of Mo. Nana Dankwa III, a revered figure in the traditional area, continues to play a crucial role in the cultural preservation and development of Mo/Dega. His leadership is pivotal in steering the festival towards success, making it a unifying event for all people connected to the area.
The Pedia/Yam Festival is not only a time for the people to come together and celebrate their rich cultural heritage, but it also serves as a homecoming for indigenes living in other parts of the country and abroad. Among the prominent figures expected are: 1.His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, Former President of the Republic of Ghana. His presence underscores the festival's importance on the national calendar and highlights the respect and recognition the Mo/Dega Traditional Area commands.
2.Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, the Paramount Chief of Dormaa and a respected traditional leader, will also be in attendance. His participation signifies the strong bonds between the Dormaa and Mo/Dega Traditional Areas.
3.His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana, will also grace the occasion. His presence is a testament to the government’s recognition of the cultural and developmental significance of the Mo/Dega area.
4.Hon. Joseph Kwame Kumah (JAKALA), Member of Parliament for Kintampo North, will also be present. Hon. Kumah, a native of the area, has been instrumental in advocating for development within the Mo/Dega Traditional Area.

The climax of the Pedia/Yam Festival and Homecoming will be on the 6th of October, 2024, at the Presby Park in Kintampo, where the community will gather from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
